Who We Serve
New Day Ministries is committed to helping disadvantaged, low-income, and at-risk youth, ages eight to eighteen, and young adults, ages nineteen to twenty-four, from metro-Louisville, particularly those from the poorer neighborhoods on the west side who are at higher risk of participating in or being affected by gang activity, youth violence, juvenile delinquency or engagement with the juvenile justice system, have an incarcerated parent, have or are at risk of dropping out of high school, and/or have been challenged by growing up in a household below the poverty threshold.
Why We Exist
New Day Ministries recognizes and seeks to address the unique and unusual challenges faced by today’s youth, especially those from west Louisville, who are:
Our goal at New Day Ministries is to ensure the young people of Louisville have a safe place (be it in their home, their neighborhood, or their community) and the opportunity to rise above these negative influences and reach their fullest potential. We believe mentoring and modeling positive attitudes and actions coupled with learning and leadership opportunities that engage, educate, enrich, and empower young people in the process is the key to achieving this goal.
What We Do
New Day Ministries emphasizes people and programs that promote safer, healthier thriving communities. New Day provides low-income, disadvantaged, and at-risk youth and young adults access to caring, committed men and women who have grown up in or survived similar challenging backgrounds to become successful, resilient adults. Our programs equip and empower these same young people to go on to create their own successful lives.
