My experience at Summer Enrichment Camp was great I enjoyed making new friends and the field trips. I also liked Taekwondo it was very fun and I also learned how to defend myself, discipline and self control.

I also liked swimming class because it made me a much more stronger swimmer. I liked painting because I love art and it allowed me to be creative and step out of my comfort zone.

I enjoyed spending time with Mr. D he is a good teacher. I also enjoyed ELA and Mrs. Fran, she’s a good teacher. Overall this camp has showed it is okay to step out of my comfort zone. – Key

This is how my 2025 Summer Enrichment Camp went. First of all I want to start on the classes, the classes are what makes the Camp productive, classes lik Tech-nique.

We used blocks and other things to build in Brick 4 Kidz, but it also showed us basic skills like teamwork and how to work together.

The second class I want to talk about is ELA. In ELA we did ice breakers and other fun activities, like watching movies and reading. – Sidd

At Summer Camp this year we had a lot of fun. My favorite part about the summer camp this year was the field trips. When we went to the Zoom, I liked looking at the lions. We also ate food.

In the morning I liked to play the game. On Tuesday’s we went swimming and we did Taekwondo. We went to Shawnee Park one day and I played basketball.

At summer camp, we always pray in the morning so we make sure keep God first. When we go to art class, I like to chill and draw. In ELA class we play a lot of games and we get prizes. On Thursdays, we usually go on a field trip for almost the whole day and then go home. – Day

This summer I attended the L.I.F.E. Summer Camp. As the last week is approaching I can confidently say that I have really enjoyed my time here. I’ve made many new friends, memories and skills.

I participated in all activities that this camp offers and I’m so grateful I was able to. We had swimming lessons at Central High School and I loved it because swimming is my favorite hobby. We also had a VR Class that was really interesting to do. My favorites were Taekwondo, robotics, and Tech-Nique. I learned a lot of new skills from Taekwondo that I’m grateful to have.

We also had many classes that I learned alot from. In ELA we did word games and interactive board games that were really fun. I won many prizes from Ms. Fran. In art we did a lot of projects, my favorites were making origami, painting and clay objects. I also really liked Bible lessons.

We also went on many field trips, like the Zoo, Huber Farms, Camp Change, and the park. My favorite was Camp Change because I got to zip line and fish. I caught a fish! I also enjoyed Huber Farms where we got to go in bamboo maze, ride bikes, play games, and go on a tractor ride.

All in all, I really appreciate God and L.I.F.E. for giving me this opportunity. I definitely enjoyed my time here and I hope I can attend next year. – Mya

Growing up I’ve always wanted to go to a summer camp. I hated being inside all day with nothing to do. Now, at 15, I was given the amazing opportunity to take up a volunteer assistant position at New Day Ministries. I was prepared to be fully hands on and strictly working. Ms. Nikki made sure that didn’t happen. She let’s me help out with different tiers and assist at lunch, but overall she prioritized giving me time to be a kid.

When I arrived I was put into tier 4. I was nervous meeting all of the new kids and staff members. The first friend I made was a girl named Keyshaenae. She is outgoing, funny, and incredibly friendly. She helped me meet and talk to all the other kids in my tier. I was also blessed with having my sister in the program with me. She got to help out with the little kids, so she introduced me to the ones in the lower tiers. Now I have 3 kids giving me hugs and saying “hi” everyday. – Bri
